Annika Stephens  |  Assistant Coach

Annika Stephens was hired as the assistant volleyball coach at South Dakota Mines on March 2, 2022.

In 2020, and 2021 Stephens was a volunteer assistant for the program, assisting in the following areas: Recruiting, administrative duties, practice planning, scouting, and training, and helped run and direct volleyball camps during the summer of 2021.

Since 2018, Stephens has worked with a local volleyball club, the Black Hills Juniors, running the 15's team. Stephens led the charge in scheduling tournaments, practice, coordinated travel, marketing, budgeting as well as community outreach.

Stephens' father, Jim Stephens is a former track & field assistant coach, coaching in the 2012-2014 years, as well as 2016-18.

Stephens is a local to Rapid City, graduating from Rapid City Central High School before attending and playing volleyball at Dakota State University. While there, Stephens earned her bachelor's degree in business administration.
